NORTHSIDE GALLERY PLAYERS

Welcome to the NORTHSIDE GALLERY PLAYERS. We are an all-inclusive community theatre ensemble that caters to adults and teens who enjoy thespianship for hobby and training for continuing education and career. Our group provides a safe, fun environment that is not just creative but also supportive of both individal and team building efforts. Giving credit where credit is due, we recognize that everyone plays an important role. From on stage and behind the scenes, to the audience who comes out to support, community is why we are here and without it the stage would be dark.

PRODUCTIONS

We hold one spring musical production per calendar year, one murder mystery, and several cabaret shows throughout the season. Keeping your work and school schedule in mind, we give ample time with scripts so that you can take the time to review your parts and memorize comfortably. We only schedule you for rehearsals as absolutely necessary so that the time you spend with us is used to the max. Because we believe that anyone and everyone should experience the joys of theatre, we do not hold auditions for our productions, but instead hold open registration time frames and meet-and-greets to appropriately assign roles by ability and interest. There is no charge for participating in our productions.
For those who wish to be involved in theatre, but prefer to stay behind the scenes, we offer the ability to work with the show as a part of stage crew or as a set designer. Our shows are for the community, made by the community!
Tickets to all shows go on sale two weeks prior to the production. Ticket prices range from $12 to $20 each. Proceeds benefit our theatre fund and help to pay expenses for the next upcoming production.

Our productions are held on-site in our gray box theatre in the round.

Some of our workshops are one day only events while others range from four to six week time frames. Prices vary depending on the length of the workshop. PRODUCTIONS

The Northside Gallery Players Junior caters to children going into grades kindergarten through age 12. We hold two productions per calendar year, one in the summer and one in the fall. Keeping hectic family schedules in mind, each production program is limited to six weeks, and rehearses on the same day and time each week so that participants can better plan ahead. Because we believe that anyone and everyone should experience the joys of theatre, we do not hold auditions for our children's productions, but instead hold open registration time frames and meet-and-greets to appropriately assign roles by age, ability, and interest. There is no charge for students to participate in our children's theatre productions.
For those students who wish to be involved in theatre, but prefer to stay behind the scenes, we offer the ability to work with the show as a part of stage crew or as a set designer. Our shows are for kids and made by kids! The more involvement, the better!

Tickets to all shows go on sale two weeks prior to the production. Ticket prices range from $8 to $15 each. Proceeds benefit our theatre fund and help to pay expenses for the next upcoming production.

WORKSHOPS

Throughout the year, workshops are offered for students who wish to explore productions from both on the stage and behind the scenes. Many of our art class participants have the opportunity to take their artistic hands and creative minds and lend a helping hand to designing backdrops and props for our youth productions. Some of our workshops are one day only events while others range from four to six week time frames. Prices vary depending on the length of the workshop.
